JUSTINE GARCIA
Justine began dancing at the age of 4 and has never stopped moving! She danced her way through high school and into University studying a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) and a Bachelor of Education (Secondary). During her studies she discovered the power of yoga as a way to connect the mind, body and breath. She began taking class locally and the mindset and gentle, adaptable movement has become a staple in her life, especially during pregnancy and post partum times.
Justine teaches dance specializing in the VCE curriculum and choreographs and directs multiple dance concerts and performances every year. But her favourite place is always the dance studio working directly with people and helping them discover the power of movement of what their bodies are capable of. Yoga has always been a part of her teaching especially in the injury prevention and body maintenance components, but more recently a vital part of improving flexibility, maintaining correct alignment and strengthening the core. In 2025 Justine decided to undertake Yoga Teacher Training to compliment her work as a Dance teacher and to give back to her beloved CIUT community by providing yoga and stretch classes that focus on increasing joint mobility, improving flexibility, core strength, balance, control and coordination. Justine follows a Vinyasa Yoga style flowing through movement sequences in an almost dance like manner using rhythm and repetition to find that mindful movement experience. Combined with stretching, balance and core work, Justine's yoga classes are a great choice in between HIIT or Strength sessions in the gym. Justine encourages everyone to listen to their body, find movement that works for them at whatever stage they are at, including injury recovery, rehab, beginners and pregnancy and post partum. Short meditation is often including in her classes as a way to mindfully connect with your body before the busyness of the day begins!
